Share Your World – 2014 Week 15

For your blog do you basically use Windows or Mac, laptop, desktop, pad, or phone?

Laptop
My Work Station

I use a laptop & I use it standing.

I hijacked the ‘breakfast bar’, which is perfect both in position & height.

It allows me more freedom of movement & encourages me to stretch & move while working.

I am also free to move between the lounge & kitchen areas, making it possible to continue working while I cook etc.

It also prolongs the life of the kettle, as I’m less likely to forget it’s on if it’s steaming just behind me.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a mystic of some kind with all sorts of magical powers.

I still want to be a mystic but I’m no longer interested in powers.

Life is so much more magical if you just leave it alone & go where it leads you.

Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it?

I grew up in London, but I was born into a Roman Catholic, Irish, immigrant family.

I didn’t get out much, so I may as well have been born in a tiny village somewhere.

Reflections On The Self
Reflections On The Self

Later though, in my teens I started to explore London on my own & I loved it.

It is an amazing city, where you can travel in time & space & can visit almost every culture on Earth in the space of an afternoon.

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

As a child I always wanted to get to 18 & stop.

I saw this as the ultimate age to be & believed that all 18 year olds were wise & beautiful.

Now, of course, I know different, so I’d like to get to around 35 & stop.

That way I’d have just about enough wisdom to be happy & just about enough youth to be beautiful & healthy.

Bonus question:

Grateful for … Two bottles of wine, received from my employers as a Pesach (Passover) gift.

Looking forward to … A week off work.
