After spending time with a group of people, do you feel energized and ready for anything or do you want to hide in the corner with a good book?

I Love People & A Good Book
First of all I love people.
I think they are all incredible.
Each one unique & beautiful in their own way.
If it’s hard to see so much the better, it just becomes a treasure hunt.
I used to be a silent creature hiding in the shadows talking to no one.
Then I opened up & started to communicate with everyone.
I fell in love with mankind & accepted everyone without question.
Now, mostly through circumstances, I’ve retreated back into my shell a little.
I’ m sure it’s just temporary, maybe another chrysalis stage.
In the meantime here’s another poem …
Who Was She?
I remember there was once a girl,
Not sure I ever knew her well.
I feel that I should know her now
But I really can’t imagine how.
She seldom spoke, she seldom smiled,
That silent, secret, sullen child.
Though she couldn’t find a thing to say
People loved her anyway.
Lost in a world of make-believe
She searched inside for some reprieve
And watched the world through tearful eyes
Removed from all that was outside.
Time came, time went, time intervened.
The girl just disappeared it seemed.
But in her place a flower grew
A flower just like me or you.
