It’s been hectic here so I’m somewhat behind with my contributions.

Here are weeks 12 & 13 all bundled up together …
Share Your World – 2014 Week 12
What is your most favorite smell/scent?
Outside I love natural smells like fruit blossom, the sea & campfires.
Inside I love the smell of vegetables frying in ghee with mustard seeds & spices, all mixed up with the smell of Nag Champa incense.
How do you write: computer, longhand or other?
Both.
Computer when I’m indoors, standing at my desk & longhand when I’m out, or lounging about.
I have my computer on a high surface in an alcove that I think should be a breakfast bar.
I prefer it there because when I sit at the keyboard for long periods of time I get stiff, uncomfortable & achy.
Plus I’m convinced that it makes all my fat collect in my butt & belly.
When I stand I find that I have much more freedom of movement.
I change position more & can stretch & move around freely when I need to do something.
I don’t need to lean forward all the time & my body has the freedom to function without restrictions.
Of course lounging on the sofa is still a favourite pastime when I’m not at the keyboard.
Your favorite blog post that you have written? (add link)
I don’t have much time to write these days & so my blog has become very image orientated, but here are 3 of my favourite written posts & a photographic tale …
Short Fiction: Metamorphosis – The Tank
Silliest Daily Prompt: A to Z – A Love Story
Photography: Journey – Stairway to Heaven
Poetry: Poetic Challenge – Judgement, Justice & God
What’s one of your favorite books from childhood?
What is chidhood? I’m going with under age ten.
Factual: Customs of the World – Volumes I & II.
Two huge black, leather bound volumes of my grandfathers. They were full of anthropological essays about different peoples, cultures, & religions from all over the world. They really helped to shape my understanding of mankind. When I was very small I just looked at the pictures & read the captions. As I got older I read more & more. Sadly many of the tribes represented no longer exist.
Fiction: Very hard to choose, I read tons so here’s two I really loved …
The Hound of Ulster – Rosemary Sutcliff
The Last of the Mohicans – James Fenimore Cooper
Share Your World – 2014 Week 13
Do you believe in extraterrestrials or life on other planets?
Yes, I think it is absurd to believe that in this infinite universe, Earth is the only planet with life.
Just seeing the huge diversity of lifeforms on this planet is enough of a clue that life can exist almost anywhere & in almost any form.
Maybe what we really need is to refine our perception of what life actually means.
What type of pet or pets do not want to have?
I don’t do pets anymore, so all pets is the answer here.
If I had to have pets they would definitely not be of the smelly or hairy kind.
I’m totally fed up with cleaning up after smelly pets, & pets that drop fur everywhere.
If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
Rainbow colour.
What type of transportation would you be? Why?
That would have to be the TARDIS, or some other type of time machine, because I’d love to go back & forth catching up on all the ancient & future gossip.
Seriously though, time travel could solve a lot of the worlds problems by solving some of the many unanswered questions about Life, the Universe & Everything.
Of course those answers would only create a new set of problems.
Now where would we be without problems lol.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Grateful for …
Our “Game of Thrones” DVD’s, which my daughter sent to us several weeks ago, finally arrived.
We thought they were lost & had given up all hope of getting them.
Looking forward to …
Snuggling up on the sofa with my hubby, a bottle of wine & some munchies, while we watch our recently delivered “Game of Thrones” DVD’s.

I wish I’d thought of TARDIS!
I’m with you on the pets. I could just about stand a a cat as they clean themselves, but they do leave fur about the place.

Indeed, I think cats are one of the easier pets to live with. As for the TARDIS, I remember my mum sitting me down right in front of the TV to watch the very first episode of Dr Who. I was terrified from the very first few seconds of music lol, but I loved it regardless. I was 4 🙂
