Singin’ in the Rain: Ducks, Lightning & Rainbows

Safe inside, toasty warm, while water pitter-patters on the roof… describe your perfect, rainy afternoon.

Photographers, artists, poets: show us RAIN.

Rain On Ducks

I remember one summer afternoon in London.

We had one of those wonderful mid-summer thunder storms that usually happen in the middle of a picnic.

This time we were at home &, looking out of the window, saw that our street had turned into a virtual river.

Me & my kids ran outside to feel the strength of the storm & met our next-door neighbour, Teresa, & her kids, who were equally impressed.

We all ended up singing & dancing together in the street & screaming with every flash of lightning & clap of thunder, which were happening together as the storm was directly overhead.

After about 5 minutes or so we all piled into my neighbours house, soaked to the skin & radiant.

I went to collect dry clothes for me & my kids while Teresa made hot drinks & snacks for everyone.
